Winner of Malaysia’s First Internet Car Announced

YES & PROTON to provide high-speed connectivity on the go
KUALA LUMPUR, 15 August 2012 – The ‘Win Malaysia’s First 4G Internet Car’ contest came to a gripping end at the YTL Network Operation Centre in Sentul, as the top three winners of the Facebook contest that ran from 23rd February to 27th March, 2012 were announced.

The contest gave participants a chance to win a one-of-a-kind, special edition Yes 4G Internet-enabled Proton Inspira worth RM100,000. Participants were first required to become fans of Yes4G or PROTON on their Facebook pages in order to join the contest. Each contestant had to create a personalized avatar representing a lifestyle closest to theirs and upload a headshot of themself. They were then required to complete a slogan and gather followers on their Facebook wall pages. 20 individuals with the highest points collected were short-listed for the final round and top three winners were selected by a panel of judges from YES and PROTON based on the creativity of their slogans.

“We are thrilled to announce the winner of Malaysia’s First 4G Internet Car. It is a very unique prize, which combines high-speed Internet connectivity and must-have gadgetries at the very comfort of a Proton car,” said Mr. Reggie Chee Pok Jin, Chief Marketing Officer of YTL Communications.
